Key Highlights of Haryana’s Infrastructure Push
Expansion of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant
- Investment: ₹8,469 crore
- Location: Yamunanagar
- Scope: Foundation laid for a new 800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal unit
- Developer: Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd (HPGCL)
- Completion Timeline: 52 months, with commercial operations expected by March 2029
- Impact: Will raise Haryana’s total in-house generation capacity to 3,382 MW
Inauguration of Rewari Bypass under Bharatmala
- Investment: ₹1,069 crore
- Length: 14.4 km, four-lane configuration
- Execution Mode: Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)
- Purpose: Decongest Rewari city, improve travel to Narnaul via NH-11
- Benefit: Expected to reduce travel time between Delhi and Narnaul by almost one hour
GOBARdhan Biogas Plant in Yamunanagar
