The much-anticipated 1.65-km-long flyover at BHEL Junction on NH-65 has officially opened. That brings much-needed relief to commuters who have long suffered from severe traffic congestion. It was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, for thousands of people traveling through this busy junction.
BHEL Junction, a key intersection for vehicles from Sangareddy, Lingampally, Ameenpur, and Miyapur, was known for long traffic jams, especially during peak hours. Previously, crossing the 2-km stretch could take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. This delay led to frustrated commuters, including office-goers and school students. Now, the same stretch can be crossed in under two minutes.
The BHEL Junction flyover is designed to improve daily travel. Its modern features ensure smoother and safer traffic flow.
The flyover's impact has been significant for local residents. BHEL employee Srikanth, who previously avoided the route due to heavy traffic. Now he expressed his gratitude for the project, saying that “traffic congestion is no longer a concern.”
The BHEL Junction flyover is a prime example of how infrastructure development can drastically improve the daily lives of citizens. It not only addresses the immediate traffic congestion issues but also paves the way for future growth in the region.
With this flyover now in operation, traffic congestion at BHEL Junction has become a thing of the past, marking a new chapter in the area’s transportation history.
