The construction of the Mango flyover in Jamshedpur is progressing at a fast pace, with substantial progress made on the 57-pillar bridge. The project is being led by Dinesh Chandra Agarwal’s agency and is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the Mango area. The construction is set to be completed by March 2025.
The flyover’s construction has reached an advanced stage, with 32 out of 57 pillars already under construction. Among these, 26 pillars have been capped, and the remaining pillars are under active development. The construction crew is also working on the creation of a critical 120-foot long, six-foot high girder, which is being built directly in the Swarnarekha River. Special cranes will be used to move the girders once they are finished.
The total estimated cost of the flyover project is Rs 252 crore, with the goal of improving traffic flow and reducing congestion in the Mango area. The flyover will feature a four-lane section near Blue Wells School and a two-lane section extending from Mango’s New Purulia Road to the Marine Drive Maharana Pratap Roundabout.
Once completed, the flyover will bring a significant improvement in connectivity between Dimna Road and Sakchi, making travel smoother and faster for residents of Mango. The project aims to alleviate daily traffic jams, ensuring better traffic management and reducing commute times for people in the area.
