Hyundai Expands Skid Steer Lineup with New HS80V

New HS80V Model Unveiled at Bauma 2025

Hyundai Construction Equipment is making its mark in the skid steer market with the launch of its latest model, the HS80V. This powerful machine, unveiled at Bauma 2025, strengthens Hyundai’s lineup of compact construction equipment. With 66.4 horsepower, the HS80V joins the already available 70-horsepower HS120V, showcasing Hyundai’s commitment to efficiency and performance.

The business also offers the 70-horsepower HT100V compact track loader, although it is unclear whether this model will be sold in North America.

Power and Performance for Demanding Jobs

The HS80V is a tough and durable machine built for heavy-duty job sites. It tips the scales at 3.2 metric tons and has a rated operating capacity of 1,951 pounds at 50% tipping load. This allows it to manage heavy loads without any issues.

With a single-speed travel system, the maximum speed is 7.3 mph. Hyundai has fitted this machine with a powerful diesel engine that is both efficient and smooth when used on construction sites.

Advanced Features for Better Operation

Vertical-Lift Path for Stability

One of the HS80V's most notable attributes is its vertical-lift path. This design lifts materials higher while maintaining stability, lowering the risk of spillage. The Auto Self-Leveling system also improves this feature by supporting the levelness of the bucket or forks as the lift ascends, eliminating the need for manual adjustment.

Easy Attachment Changes

To increase the HS80V's versatility, Hyundai has introduced a flat-face hydraulic quick coupler, which allows operators to swap attachments without leaving the cab. Besides, a 14-pin power connector guarantees ease of use for powered work tools, making the machine even more versatile for different activities.

Comfortable and Safe Operator Experience

Spacious and Well-Equipped Cab

Hyundai has engineered the cab for optimal comfort. It features heating and air conditioning to keep operators comfortable in any weather. A slide-up front door makes it easy to get in, and a full-width front window gives a clear view of the work site.

Safety Improvements

Safety is also a concern in the HS80V. It features an automatic rearview camera to aid in reversing, and the working lights stay on for 30 seconds after the engine shuts down, allowing operators to get out safely during low-light situations.

Intuitive Controls for Easy Operation

The HS80V is operated via two multi-function joysticks. The right-hand joystick controls the boom, bucket, and swinging functions. The operator controls driving functions and may control the engine speed via a rotary dial, foot pedal, or Hyu. The rotary dial is suggested for cases where constant power is required, e.g., for planer or sweeper use.
