Hyundai Launches R145L Quarry Excavator at Bauma CONEXPO India 2026

Comes with the Longest Undercarriage in Class 

HD Construction Equipment has launched the Hyundai R145L Quarry excavator at Bauma CONEXPO India 2026. The new excavator is aimed at quarry and mining work in hard strata. It has a 105 HP engine, 15,000 kg operating weight and a 0.65-cum heavy-duty bucket.

The machine comes with a 4.6-metre HD boom and 2.1-metre HD arm. Hyundai has also strengthened the excavator’s structure for quarry work. The R145L Quarry is being displayed at Stall No. O.F-10 at the event.

New Excavator Aims at Hard-Strata Quarry Work

The R145L Quarry is designed for excavation and material handling in quarry and mining sites. Its 105 HP engine gives the machine the power needed for digging in hard strata.

The excavator also has swing priority and regeneration in its hydraulic system. These functions allow faster movement between digging cycles. Higher digging forces also help the machine handle tough excavation work.

Heavy-Duty Setup Suits Quarry Conditions

Hyundai has given the R145L Quarry a heavy-duty boom, arm and bucket for quarry operations. The 0.65-cum HD bucket is paired with a 4.6-metre HD boom and 2.1-metre HD arm.

The machine also gets strengthened and reinforced frames with thicker track shoes. Its longest undercarriage gives it more stability while carrying heavy loads.

A casted bucket H-link and reinforced control rod add further strength to the attachment. These changes are aimed at longer service life when the excavator works in hard strata.

Idle Functions and Modes Focus on Fuel Use

The R145L Quarry gets auto idle and one-touch idle functions to reduce unnecessary fuel use. It also has ECO and Breaker modes for different types of work.

Hyundai has added a fuel-saving kit to further improve fuel economy. These features are useful when the machine switches between excavation and breaker operations.

Safety Features Added to the Excavator

The machine comes with auto engine overheat protection to protect the engine during operation. It also gets a battery disconnect switch for added protection of electrical components.

For maintenance, daily check points and filters are placed for easier access. The hydraulic filter interval is 1,000 hours, while the hydraulic oil interval is 5,000 hours.

The longer intervals can reduce the number of maintenance stops during machine operation. This can also reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

Cabin Gets More Features for Operators

The R145L Quarry has a 7-inch multilingual cluster that displays machine parameters. The cabin includes a mobile holder, charging point and AC option.

The operator seat can be adjusted according to the operator’s position. Hyundai has also added maintenance management for machine upkeep.

A hinged-type cabin front guard is included for easier access and added convenience around the cabin.
