The government of India declared a new development milestone for the road infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. Within the last five years, NHAI constructed 1,131 kilometres of roads in the region. The development was made public in the Lok Sabha by Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Jairam Gadkari.
