Minister Gopal Rai formally inaugurated several road development projects in Yamuna Vihar, Noor-e-Ilahi, Subhash Mohalla, Mohanpuri and North Ghonda. This is yet another milestone reached towards improving the city of Delhi's infrastructure under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's government.
More than 900 roads have been constructed in Babarpur since the formation of the Arvind Kejriwal-led government, Gopal Rai said during the inauguration. In addition, he said work on additional roads is already underway. “This development goes a long way to show how committed the government is to upgrading the infrastructure of the city for its citizens' benefits.
Rai also informed the public that the transformer on Noor-e-Ilahi Road would be shifted shortly to decongest traffic in the area. The DD also announced the commencement of a new bus service connecting the Yamuna Vihar Bus Depot to Nizamuddin to benefit local commuters further.”
Rai credited these achievements to the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal. “He said that, unlike other states, the city still remains the sole provider of guaranteed 24-hour electricity. Moreover, around 22 lakh citizens get zero electricity bills. Then, he talked about the free water supply, proper medical facilities in government hospitals, and quality education for children.
Regarding specific issues concerning the Noor-e-Ilahi area, Rai said efforts are being made to resolve water issues and improve local conditions. Garbage near Noor-e-Ilahi has been cleared, and a Mohalla Clinic has been set up to provide health facilities. In addition, a compactor has been installed to clear waste in the surrounding areas.”
These initiatives reflect the government's commitment to improving the living conditions and convenience for Delhi's residents.
