The detailed project report (DPR) for the expressway is expected to take two to three months. However, the agency responsible for its construction has not yet been finalized. In a recent meeting, officials from Haryana PWD, NHAI, and the UP Government expressed their support for transferring the project to NHAI. This transfer could involve funding of approximately Rs 900 crore.
The Public Works Department is preparing to launch the Faridabad–Noida–Ghaziabad Expressway soon. However, uncertainty remains regarding the handling of the proposed work. Although the project was announced in 2019, five years have passed without a decision on the executing agency. The Public Works Department (PWD), Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA), and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are all competing for the project.
According to sources in the district administration, the Public Works Department (PWD) has recently submitted a report on the project alignment for the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway. However, work on preparing the detailed project report (DPR) has not yet begun.
While the DPR is expected to take two to three months, authorities have not finalized the agency responsible for constructing the expressway. In a recent meeting, officials from Haryana PWD, NHAI, and the UP Government expressed support for transferring the project to NHAI, which could involve funding of approximately Rs 900 crore.
The Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) project aims to connect Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad. Approximately Rs 900 crore will be invested in its construction and land acquisition. This expressway will provide significant relief to commuters traveling between these cities, making their journeys more comfortable.
The FNG expressway will greatly improve connectivity among the three cities. According to Public Works Department (PWD) officials, the expressway will commence from Greater Faridabad Sector 87. A 99-km road will be constructed, passing through Khedi Village and reaching Yamuna Bank in Lalpur village.
A 600-meter-long bridge will be constructed over the Yamuna River to connect the two ends of the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway, costing approximately Rs 500 crore. According to the detailed project report (DPR) prepared by the Public Works Department (PWD), the total project cost is estimated at around Rs 900 crore. This funding will cover expenses related to land acquisition, bridge construction, and road construction.
An official from PWD confirmed that the overall project will require an investment of approximately Rs 900 crore.
