Dehradun Focuses on Rapid Road Safety and Improvement Initiatives

The Dehradun administration stated that road safety and improvement work is progressing rapidly in the district. The work at ONGC Chowk is complete, while construction on Cantt Road is ongoing. To accelerate the projects, District Magistrate Savin Bansal has appointed SDM, Sadar, Kumkum Joshi, as the nodal officer for road safety tasks.

Key Road Safety Projects in Progress

As directed by the DM, work on road improvement, speed breakers, and zebra crossings is in full swing. District Magistrate Savin Bansal is personally supervising the road safety projects. SDM and Nodal Officer Kumkum Joshi is regularly monitoring the progress on-site.

All five speed breakers on New Cantt Road have been completed. The painting of zebra crossings at Dilaram Chowk is set to begin today. As per instructions, the road safety work is progressing on a war footing and meeting required standards.
