CNH has commenced production of its latest 2.8-litre TREM V-compliant engine at its Greater Noida facility. Initially designed for construction equipment meeting CEV V norms, the engine will later power agricultural machinery once the TREM V emission standards take effect. This marks a significant step in CNH’s localisation and innovation strategy for India.
Localisation and Manufacturing Capabilities
Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director, CNH India, stated: “The launch of the F28 engine is a testament to our commitment to producing high-quality, locally manufactured solutions. This technology will enhance the performance and reliability of our construction and agricultural equipment while reducing dependence on imports.”
With a strong presence through brands such as Case IH, New Holland, and CASE Construction Equipment, CNH has been a key player in India’s construction and agricultural machinery sector for over 25 years. With a workforce of over 40,000 employees globally, CNH continues to develop sustainable technologies that improve efficiency and productivity for Indian businesses.
The introduction of the 2.8L TREM V engine signifies CNH’s dedication to localisation and innovation. As emission standards evolve, the company is well-positioned to provide robust solutions for India’s growing construction and agricultural sectors.
