On Monday, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Zoo Park-Aramghar flyover in Hyderabad. He announced that the flyover will be named after the late former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh. This flyover is now the second-largest in the city. During the inauguration, Reddy said, "This flyover that connects the airport will be named after Dr. Manmohan Singh. He was the Finance Minister when PV Narasimha Rao was PM, and he also served as the Prime Minister for 10 years. He contributed a lot to the country, and it is important to honour him. He helped build the state of Telangana, and it is right that the city of Hyderabad carries his name."
According to ANI, the previous Congress government built the longest flyover in Telangana, the PV Narasimha Rao Express Highway, under former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Now, under the current Congress government, the second-largest flyover has been constructed in the city. Reddy shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), saying, "The Aramghar-Zoo Park flyover was inaugurated today. This is a step forward in solving traffic problems in the city. The government is ready to provide infrastructure facilities to meet the needs of the city's people."
The flyover was completed in record time. It highlights the Congress government's focus on urban development and their vision for the capital city under the "Hyderabad Rising" mission.
CM Reddy also emphasized the importance of collaboration for the city's development. He said, "We are ready to join hands and work in tandem with everyone for the development of Hyderabad. We will move forward with the MIM for city development. We pursue politics only during elections and move together for Hyderabad's development. Development must become a people's movement."
Reddy also mentioned the significance of the Regional Ring Road project. He expressed confidence that Telangana will see further development once the work on the road is completed.
