Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has successfully completed the grade separator work between Mullaithottam and Karayanchavadi stations. This marks a crucial milestone in the metro corridor construction, bringing the city a step closer to enhanced connectivity.
Metro authorities have confirmed that civil construction work is progressing actively between Porur and Poonamallee depot. The project remains on track, with officials reaffirming the target to open the corridor for passenger services by late 2025.
Meanwhile, metro rail services continue to witness significant usage, with a total of 86.65 lakh passengers traveling in Chennai Metro trains in February alone. This highlights the increasing dependence on metro services for daily commuting.
