Cat Unveils Four Next-Generation Telehandlers for Enhanced Performance

The new Cat Telehandlers have a turbocharged C3.6TA engine, meeting EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage V standards, with 74 hp and 115 hp options using DPF and SCR technologies.

The new Cat Telehandlers are equipped with the Cat C3.6TA engine, which is turbocharged and aftercooled. This engine meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emissions standards. The 74 hp (55 kW) version includes a zero-service diesel particulate filter (DPF) and doesn't require diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). For the TH0842, TH1055, and TH1255 models, a 115 hp (86 kW) engine option is available. This version uses selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to meet emissions standards.

Enhanced Operator Comfort and Control

Operators can choose from three station options: open canopy, enclosed cab with heat, or enclosed cab with heat and air conditioning. The redesigned interior includes an ergonomic control layout and a tilt steering column. A new full-color LCD monitor displays machine information in four languages—English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese. This monitor also shows the rearview camera feed when the machine is in reverse, with a soft key to enable continuous camera viewing.

Safety and Performance Features

Standard features include a rearview camera and an operator presence seat switch, which prevents operation if the operator is not seated. The optional Load Stability Indication (LSI) system alerts operators about forward stability when handling loads. The pilot-controlled joystick allows smooth and predictable control of boom functions, such as extend/retract and lift/lower. Customers can choose between two coupler interfaces: IT or Standard TH. The new Standard TH quick coupler offers better fork visibility and enhanced load capacity with the boom extended.

Advanced Technology and Maintenance

Cat Telehandlers come with standard auxiliary hydraulics for powered attachments and a configurable engine idle shutdown to improve fuel economy. The monitor includes a multi-operator code security system, supporting up to 50 codes to prevent unauthorized use. Maintenance is easier with extended service intervals and a patented service tool for quick inspections of chains and boom wear pads. The boom sections and frames come with a 5-year, 5,000-hour warranty.

Telematics and Remote Management

Each telehandler is equipped with Product Link Elite standard telematics. This system provides crucial machine data to fleet managers. Remote flash capability allows software updates without visiting a dealer, and remote troubleshooting offers real-time diagnostics and parameter adjustments. This advanced technology ensures efficient operation and easy maintenance.
