Amaravati: The TDP-led NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned Rs. 2,723 crore for developing road infrastructure in the greenfield capital city of Amaravati.
During a press conference at the secretariat, Minister Narayana announced, “Funds for works worth Rs 47,288 crore were approved until now during Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) meetings for the development of Amaravati.” He also assured that the government is committed to the swift completion of these projects to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the capital region.
The Minister further stated that approvals for the remaining projects will be granted within this month. He emphasized that the state government is dedicated to ensuring that the burden of funding the development of Amaravati will not fall on the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Minister Narayana highlighted the government’s strategy for managing the loans taken for Amaravati's development. He explained that these loans will be repaid by selling the land pooled from farmers for the greenfield capital city. This innovative approach ensures that public finances remain unaffected while supporting the ambitious plans for Amaravati.
This comprehensive plan underscores the government’s commitment to building a world-class capital city without imposing financial strain on its citizens.
