The company introduced three new machines in its construction lineup: two excavators, the U17-5 and KX040-5, and a powerful compact track loader, the SVL97-3. It will come with an improved hydraulic system and a bigger, quieter cab and it has a lot more standard tech that now comes free of charge.The KX040-5 runs on a 40.3-horsepower Kubota diesel engine, offers a digging depth of 11 feet, 2.3 inches, and delivers a bucket breakout force of 9,397 pounds. The improved hydraulic system optimises engine power, ensuring smooth and efficient multitasking while enhancing job site productivity.2. U17-5 Zero Tail Swing Compact ExcavatorKubota also launched the U17-5, a zero tail swing compact excavator, which provides increased stability, operator comfort, and efficiency. The model replaces the U17VR1 and is now available at authorised dealers.Equipped with a 16.1 horsepower Kubota diesel engine, the U17-5 features a digging depth of 7 feet, 6.2 inches and a dumping height of 8 feet, 1.2 inches. The hydraulic thumb bracket is factory installed, allowing for the mounting of an optional hydraulic thumb, as well as an integrated auxiliary control system that makes handling convenient. The auxiliary diverter valve comes standard, which saves transition times between attachments and increases work efficiency.New Compact Track Loader Models & Specification 1. SVL97-3 Compact Track LoaderKubota unveiled the SVL97-3, its new compact track loader. This third-generation model replaces the long-running SVL97-2 and offers improved performance, comfort and serviceability.The SVL97-3 is powered by a Kubota 96.4-horsepower engine with a common rail system and diesel particulate filter muffler. In operation, it has a rated operating capacity of 3,459 pounds, which is 250 pounds more than the previous model. An optional 300-pound counterweight could be added to increase capacity by another 200 pounds. This vehicle comes with a new one-piece sealed cab, ensuring a clean, quiet work environment, and KubotaNOW Telematics is standard for better monitoring and maintenance tracking.The new machines will be available in the Spring of 2025 through Kubota's authorised dealers.
